Hi! My name is Linda Carle, Owner & Artisan at ~Scents & Color~ from The Carle Collection. I have always been crafty. I've taken courses in floriculture & interior design but used this knowledge mostly for personal use. I feel that once I started designing jewelry, my understanding of contrasting and complimentary colors really started shining through, especially when I think about the vibrant color candles near me that inspire my work.
I have many repeat customers and admirers of my work, which makes me very grateful & proud.
~Scents & Color~ from the Carle Collection is a family-oriented business. Although I create the handmade jewelry, soaps, & soy candles on this site, the rest of the family is very creative & artistic as well. My husband Jerry excels at wood burning, our daughter Lydia makes beautiful wire wrapped jewelry, and our son Zacchary crafts the coatracks found here under "other goodies". Our granddaughter Madi has made chapsticks and bath bombs, showcasing her creativity, while Jessa, the musical talent in the family, also creates beautiful crocheted items. Parker is an amazing kid who loves making necklaces and has a natural musical talent.
It all started quite a few years back...while visiting our dearest friends. We got out some beads & made a few pairs of earrings...not a day has gone by since then that I haven't thought of jewelry designs. It is a true passion!!! I have quite an extensive collection of unique pieces.
My latest venture has been making Handmade Soy Candles & Soaps, which I have been perfecting for a good 15 years now. I have a delightful assortment of hand-blended scents that I adore, and I source my candles and supplies in Quakertown, PA, to ensure quality.
My dream of opening my own brick & mortar shop came true in February 2020 (just in time for the pandemic). We converted the garage of our split-level home into a beautiful little boutique where customers can explore the scent of color in my creations. I love being in the shop & creating but still enjoy vending at craft shows, music festivals, & other events as much as possible. I hope you enjoy our amazing Scents & Color!!!
